Get help with installing and configuring Blox SBC

Hello Everyone,
I installed sbc with gui and default configuration works. In order to install drivers with software for transcoding card do I need install asterisk ? Or sbc him self can handle it ?
Please explain exactly how to need to do it. I red documentation and it not clear. We ordered the card and it on the way, I want make sure that it will clear what to do when it will arrive.
